I always avoided cooking turkey at home.

It felt like something you only make for big holidays, with too much work and too many chances to mess it up. One year I tried it and ended up with dry meat, so that didn’t help either.
Then I gave it another shot in the air fryer, mostly because I didn’t feel like dealing with the oven.
I kept it simple, just a quick marinade with garlic and herbs, and let it cook. It turned out way better than I expected. The meat stayed juicy, and the outside had that nice browned look without me doing anything special.
Since then, this is how I make turkey. It’s easier to manage, and I don’t feel like I need a special occasion to cook it.
Don’t miss out:

- 3 lb bone-in turkey breast
- 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- ½ teaspoon dried rosemary
- ½ teaspoon dried sage
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano

- ½ teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 3 teaspoons olive oil
- Freshly ground black pepper to taste
How to Make Air Fryer Turkey Breast

In a small bowl, mix olive oil, Dijon mustard, garlic, salt, pepper, and dried herbs.
Pat the turkey breast dry with paper towels. Rub the mixture all over the turkey so it’s well coated.
Preheat the air fryer to 370°F.

Place the turkey breast in the basket, bone-side up, and cook for 25 minutes.
Flip it over and cook for another 20-25 minutes, until it’s cooked through.
Take it out and let it rest for 15-20 minutes before slicing.
FAQ
Can I use a boneless turkey breast?
Yes. It will cook a bit faster, so start checking it earlier.
How do I know when it’s done?
The inside should reach 165°F (74°C). A meat thermometer helps here.

Do I need to flip it?
Yes, flipping helps it cook evenly on both sides.
What if the top is browning too fast?
Cover it loosely with foil and continue cooking.
Can I add other spices?
Of course. You can adjust the herbs or add things like paprika or lemon.
Why let it rest after cooking?
Resting helps keep the meat juicy when you slice it.

Can I make it ahead of time?
Yes. Slice it and store in the fridge, then reheat gently.
How long do leftovers last?
Up to 3-4 days in the fridge.
