Blueberries are one of those ingredients I almost always have either fresh or frozen. They’re easy to add to pancakes, muffins, cakes, and other sweet recipes, but they can also work surprisingly well in savory dishes.
If you have blueberries to use up, here are some of my favorite blueberry recipes. There are a few breakfast ideas, some desserts, and even a couple of savory recipes.
Blueberry Almond Muffins

Blueberries and almonds work really well together in these soft muffins. They’re easy enough to make for breakfast during the week, but I also like them as an afternoon snack with coffee. Make a batch and keep the extras for the next few days.
Blueberry Scones with Vanilla Glaze

These blueberry scones are buttery and packed with blueberries, with a simple vanilla glaze over the top. They’re especially good with coffee or tea and make a nice addition to a slower weekend breakfast.
Layered Blueberry Chia Pudding

For something you can prepare the night before, try this layered blueberry chia pudding. It’s made with chia seeds, plant-based milk, yogurt, maple syrup, and blueberries. Leave it in the fridge overnight and breakfast is already waiting for you in the morning.
Blueberry and Goat Cheese Flatbread

Blueberries don’t have to be used only in sweet recipes. Here they’re paired with creamy goat cheese and fresh herbs on a flatbread. Cut it into small pieces for an appetizer or serve larger slices with a salad for an easy lunch or light dinner.
Gluten-Free Blueberry Pancakes

A stack of blueberry pancakes is hard to beat for a weekend breakfast. These are gluten-free, soft, and fluffy, with blueberries throughout. Add maple syrup and some extra berries on top before serving.
Blueberry Bread

If you like banana bread, blueberry bread is another easy loaf worth making. Fresh blueberries add little bursts of sweetness throughout the bread, and a slice works just as well for breakfast as it does with an afternoon cup of coffee.
Lemon Blueberry Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting

Lemon and blueberries are a combination I come back to every spring. Fresh blueberries are baked into a soft cake and topped with lemon cream cheese frosting. It’s simple enough to make at home but still works well for Easter, Mother’s Day, birthdays, or other get-togethers.
Blueberry Grape Salad with Balsamic Glaze

This is another way to use blueberries outside of breakfast and dessert. Fresh blueberries and grapes are added to mixed greens with cucumber, avocado, blue cheese, and seeds, then finished with balsamic glaze. Serve it for lunch or alongside grilled chicken or fish.
